Bisphenol A are present in the plastic wares we used in our daily lives. Phalates has more effects on male caused phalates syndrome on males. PBDE presents in dust affecting not only children but also adults. Efforts were done to investigate how effects of Bisphenol A, phalates and the difference in urine of people exposing chemicals or people who grow their own foods and have not expose to those chemicals before. These chemicals are not persistant.

Everything we living with may has the contents of these endocrine disruptors that mimicking estrogen are affecting our health yet we are so much exposing to it nowadays. Especially embryo and children who are in their developing phase.

The history of discovering how hormones affect whole human body is interesting as it happens in the ancient times that people are still innocent about hormones. The key deduction was that whatever effects were happening were happening through the blood. This starts with observation due to action of the male sex hormone testosterone that has brought so much changes on a man. No one has the idea that chemicals alone can have such dramatic effects on the whole body. Also then they came to the curiosity of the extraordinary tall man who scientist studies about his skeleton especially his brain found is the pituitary glands and pituitary fossa in his skull was extra huge that produces excessive growth hormone cause his height so tall.

BPA,phalates and PBDE are among the endocrine disruptors that found in our daily lifes due to advancement of household materials. They are not persistant yet possess large effect to human health and affect us from the inside out.

Hence, effort needed in avoiding the exposure of these chemicals as they are actually avoidable by a careful choose of household material used.

Since hormone is the main component that regulates many of our body mechanisms, it is important to have the knowledge about hormones. In many cases, chemicals mimicking hormones in our body does not kill instantly, but alter the internal regulation which lead to a change in physical appearance.

Bisphenol-A (BPA), phalates and PBDE have the regrettable habit of invading our hormonal intimacy. They are endocrine disruptors that can be found in the household materials. They are encrusted in plastic, in detergents, in toys, and in shampoo. Actually, they have invaded everything, including our bodies. Therefore, mitigation measures are needed as we human nowadays are too much exposed to these chemicals that may affect our health.

In the video, Professor John Wass tells the fascinating story of hormones. He said that hormones are a crucial part about biology. Hormone is important in our body mechanisms. It is quite interesting to know more details and gain more knowledge about the hormones. Hormones are a vital part of what makes us human, even affecting how we behave and feel. Not only that, hormones affect our height, our weight, our appetites and how we grow and reproduce.

Endocrine disruptors tend to interfere with the body’s endocrine system that produces, regulates and deals with the bodies many hormones like estrogen, testosterone, thyroid and so on. Endocrine disruptors such as bisphenol-A, phthalates and PBDE can be found in everyday life. They are commonly present in cosmetics, computers, refrigerators, detergents, microwaves, sprays and so on. Endocrine disruptors are able to cause negative effects depending on timing, dose and who is being exposed to. The negative effects include diabetes, breast cancer, testis cancer and others. In order to prevent this to happen, people are recommended to eat unprocessed food, buy a wooden toy instead of plastic toy, never microwaving anything in plastics and so on. The exposure routes of endocrine disruptors are hard to control, therefore the society must have the determination to change their own lifestyles and also choose the best one for themselves.

BBC THE FANTASTICAL WORLD OF HORMONES
Endocrinol system is important to secrete hormones that help to regulate the body’s growth, metabolism and sexual development and function. Hormones such as insulin, estrogen, testosterone, and others play the role to act on its target cell and thus perform a specific task. The deficiency or overproduction of hormones may lead to different changes on humans. For examples, Farinelli, the musical star was castrated before puberty in order to maintain the purity of his voice. Castration caused the elimination of testosterone and thus leads to the change of his physical appearances such as long arms, long legs, enormous chest and others. Besides that, Chris Krina, one of the Britain’s tallest man suffering from gigantism. Gigantism is caused by overproduction of growth hormone by the pituitary gland. The common symptoms include very large hands and feet, thick toes and fingers and others. It is important to know that the pituitary gland is important to make hormones that control many functions in the human body and every hormone has a different molecular structure but what unites them is how they work.

Endocrine disruptors may be synthetic or natural in origin and are used in a wide range of products and materials, from cosmetics and plastics to pesticides and industrial solvents. Without our realization, things that we use everyday and make our lives easier have its negative site like affecting our endocrine system in our body. For my opinion, more studies need to be done in order to solve these problem and everyone should aware about the disadvantages of bisphenol-A, phthalates,DDT and PBDE .

BBC THE FANTASTICAL WORLD OF HORMONES
Based on this videos, it shows that hormone is very important to human as it play major role in the body.Insulin, estrogen, testosterone are examples of hormone in the body. Hormones are chemical messengers that are secreted directly into the blood. Interestingly, there are many facts of hormone that we dont realize like singer Farinelli in the video was castrated before puberty just t maintain his beautiful voice. It is important for everyone to understand how important hormone in our body as hormone is one of the component that regulates many of human body mechanisms like regulate the body's metabolism, reproduction, growth and also sleep.

  7. THE GREAT INVASION – DOCUMENTARY ON ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS
The video introduces endocrine disruptors, which are substances that disrupt the endocrine system and interfere with the function of hormones. BPA, phthalates and PBDE are talked about, which are substances that can harm the reproductive system, cause cancer, developmental problems and so on. Certain endocrine disruptors can be especially dangerous because they are used in everyday products, however their effects are not known to most people. Besides that, chemicals can be harmless at low doses, but a combination of chemicals can cause harm even at low doses. Therefore, measures have to be taken to ensure that the use of endocrine disruptors are restricted, and more people are aware of their sources and effects.

BBC THE FANTASTICAL WORLD OF HORMONES
In the video, hormones are introduced as chemicals that affect many of our body's functions and are fundamental to making us who we are. Hormones control various things in our body, for example, a tumour in the pituitary gland can cause over secretion of growth hormones that causes abnormally large growth. Besides that, insulin, which is a very well known hormone, controls our sugar level, and the lack of it can lead to diabetes. Hormones are a very important part of our body, and the understanding of them can lead to a much better understanding of how our body works.

Besides that, these endocrine disruptors can be found in large amounts in household products especially plastics nowadays. Many of researches and study had been done on the impact and effect of endocrine disruptors on human health. So, an effective mitigation measures were needed in order to minimize the risk of endocrine disruptors to human health and also environment. Attention should be given to pregnant women in delivering future generation in these endocrine disruptors.

Through Prof John Wass video, he has said that hormones is essential in controlling our body mechanisms and emotions in daily life. He also said that study of hormone is interesting personal journey in our body system which it is most complicated system and it affects all of us in this world. The better understand hormones system is through understanding better about ourself through our height, weight, growing up process etc.For example, study of sex hormone in male brings effect from boy to man along his puberty and this question completely buffer people in the world. An experiment on chicken also being done to study the effect of hormone and this mainly from blood. There are different types of hormone with every single different molecules to particular target cells can be found. For example, stress hormone. There are also many research done in order to investigate the hormone systems. In Prof John Wass video, Prof. Sadaf said that fat can make hormone, circulate in bloodstream and brain to control our weight.

BPA, phthalates and PBDE are the chemical that are visible and mainly use in our life. The effect of this chemical was late to be known as the product keep producing but the research on that is slow. There are using this chemical without knowing the effect in long term. For example the DDT is used as pesticide to kill the insect but the effect can cause to other animal and human.
The exposure and outcome from BPA are not recognize yet as it present in our surrounding. This effect the human since during development of the baby as we already exposed to it. Other than that, it also increase the weight gain of human and animal. As researcher already do the research among the rodent. The effect in phthalates also almost same with BPA. Phthalates found in deterget, hospital equipment, balloon and perfume.
PBDE generally found in laptop, iron, furniture, car batteries and tent. This chemical rapidly growth in 1970-2000. PBDE comes from dust, haze and car dust. It affect in brain development as it will lowering our IQ and memory. Other than that, it also cause testis cancer, low fertility, miscarriage, and behaviour disorder.
From this three chemical, it shows that we are using it in our daily life and to avoid from using it was difficult. So, we can try to avoid using it frequently and try to find other alternative.

Using sheep fibroid into the patient and the benefit is in short term , the patient are less pale and improve the energy to do a household work. It was a successful experiment but the effect for this is that her hand and feet increase in size and became alter in shape. There also have a device called artriometer. It is used to measure the diameter of the artery.
Hormone is stimulate in different condition. If we are feeling stress , it was a stress hormone that work in our body. If we are preparing of exercise, the adrenaline will use. Topic: The Great invasion of Endocrine Disruptors

During the post world war the invention and alteration of petroleum molecules into fabrics, toothbrush, insecticide, cosmetics and countless invention but the lack of knowledge or indication of the chemicals these inventions carry has brought upon many adverse effects. There are about 80,000 to 85,000 chemicals in the market today while the human body contains at least 200 chemicals. Many of these chemicals we deem to be innocent until it was proven otherwise. There are many bodily indications to measure chemicals in the human body such as from the urine, blood, amniotic fluid, breast milk and many more. People are encouraged to read about things that are possible endocrine disruptors, which alter the hormones in the body. Hormones the fundamental that makes us who we are, it plays a big role in role in our development and character. Scientist has used animal testing over the years and the side effects of these endocrine disruptors are surprising. Many epidemics are common nowadays such as low testosterone amongst male and one out of seven women develop breast cancer. Some chemicals adverse effect took years to study, it even took lead two years to discover its adverse effects. One common concern that begun with the industrial age, is the castration epidemiology. The study of thyroid hormone from researchers was the key to the cure that comes without a proper functioning thyroid, a disease such as myxoedema. It’s amazing how something as minute/small as the pituitary gland in the human brain can play such a big role in the human body such as growth and hormone levels. Even as researches study the pancreases and one of its vital hormones the insulin, which serves as a cure for diabetes that is widely used in these modern age and time. Surprisingly even the fats in our body play a role in producing hormones, lectin which plays a role in controlling appetite and body weight. The study of chemical messenger and secretion is the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle. Thus, the basic knowledge of hormone and how endocrine disruptors plays a role in our everyday life are vital, because it is a common epidemic that is almost impossible to escape in this time of day.

Chemicals are created and produced for human needs that is invisible but everywhere. Chemicals such as Bisphenol A, phathalates and PBDE are examples of endocrine disruptors. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that may interfere with the body’s endocrine system and produce adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects in both humans and wildlife. It can interfere from one organ to the other. Exposure of endocrine disruptors bring negative effects to human body for example, bisphenol A will have high chances of breast cancer, baby hyperactivity, learning defect and infertility, while phathalates will cause feminisation and PBDE will causes obesity and children lost IQ point and memory. Therefore, it is important to understand the mixture of the chemicals and the effects towards humane because the combination of chemicals might bring to a huge effects even thought it is only in small dose.

Hormones is something special that can shape each and everyone of us. It can affects almost every part of our body. In this video, Dr John Wass shared about his knowledge on hormones and the wonderful story on how he discovered about hormones. Firstly, he shared about one of the greatest castrato opera singer in the 18th century. The castrato opera singers named Farinelli. Due to castration, Farinelli preserved his prepubescent voice and didn’t achieve puberty because without testes and male hormone testosterone. From this video, we can understand how hormones evolved over time and the influences of hormones to the human.

DDT and parabens is a toxicology and it toxicates us everyday. In our ordinary everyday lives are full with chemical that escapes from the surrounding object, some have a special characteristics. Have a high decaying of hormonal intendency, blocking out hormones or emitting them thus effecting them, they are all endocrine disruptors. Chemical that interfers with body that effect the system that produces, regulates and deals with the body. Example of hormones like estrogens, testrogens and thyroid.

BBC The Fantastical World of Hormones:
Hormones is a fundamental to makes who we are. Hormones are the crucial part of our biology. Every single hormones, have it own molecular structure. Each hormone, have it own target cell. Each hormones flow to the blood stream passing over billions of cells. But they only have desire of fact that when they reach the right one and matches its specific molecular structure. Hormones only works at specific cell. When the hormones act on the target cell it can charge the way it behave to perform specific task. For example, when adrenaline reaches the heart, it makes it beat faster. Each hormones has its own unique role. Hormones have many different actions and have many different time scale of act. For example, adrenaline only have affect to the heart only for a few minutes.

They are commonly found in plastic toys, sprays, household products such as detergents, electronics such as refrigerators and microwave and many more. Exposure to these endocrine disruptors can heavily damage human health as they are carcinogenic and may cause diseases such as diabetes. However, it is depending on the time, dose and the exposed individual. Since these endocrine disruptors are hard to avoid as we encounter them everyday, people should be aware of its danger and change their lifestyle to reduce the exposure to these chemicals. For example, we should avoid eating processed food and we should not microwave anything with plastics and so on. Moreover, studies on endocrine disruptors should be done to find alternatives in order to avoid being exposed too much on these chemicals.

As we grow, our bodies are regulated by hormones. Therefore, the endocrinol system is one of the vital systems in our bodies. However, hormones in our body must have a suitable level or else it may lead to unusual changes to our bodies. For example, the overproduction of growth hormone may cause gigantism just like Chris Krina, which is one of Britain’s tallest man. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that may interfere with the body’s endocrine system and produce adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects in both humans and wildlife. A wide range of substances, both natural and man-made, are thought to cause endocrine disruption, including pharmaceuticals, dioxin and dioxin-like compounds, polychlorinated biphenyls, DDT and other pesticides, and plasticizers such as bisphenol A. Endocrine disruptors may be found in many everyday products– including plastic bottles, metal food cans, detergents, flame retardants, food, toys, cosmetics, and pesticides.Research shows that endocrine disruptors may pose the greatest risk during prenatal and early postnatal development when organ and neural systems are forming. Hormones are measuureable bu we cannot see it.

BBC The Fantastic World Of Hormones:
Hormones are powerful. It takes only a tiny amount to cause big changes in cells or even your whole body. That is why too much or too little of a certain hormone can be serious. Laboratory tests can measure the hormone levels in your blood, urine, or saliva.Hormones can cause dramatically changes with our body since there are many types of hormones in our blood.

This video reveals the use of chemicals in various products such as plastics, cosmetics and etc and they act as hormone disruptors to interfere with the endocrine system of our bodies. For examples, bisphenol-A and phthalates which can be found in many plastic products. DDT is also used to control insects in the form of pesticides. However, all these chemicals cause harmful effects to humans. This can be proven by testing in animals such as mices and their fetuses. It is shown that exposure to these endocrine disruptors can interfere the hormone secretion (estrogen, testosterone, etc) and endocrine system, resulting in higher risk of having cancers and affect the reproductive development. Thus, control use of the chemicals is important to protect our health in the future.

BBS THE FANTASTIC WORLD OF HORMONES
In this video, Dr Jones Wass explained the previous findings of hormones and their incredible effects to humans. Hormones act as target cell in controlling the body's functions. Amount of production of hormones can cause different effects in our bodies. For examples, Farinelli was castrated to have pure voice but caused to low production of testosterone and the tallest man in Britain suffers over growth of his height due to extra large pituitary glands. Besides, hormones which are extracted from animals are proven that they can be used to cure various diseases. For examples, insulin from animals to cure diabetes. Leptin hormone is also discovered to control obesity by supressing appetite. These findings show that hormones play important roles to control our body activities.

The endocrine disruptors are found in any synthetic chemical that used in industrial, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) from pesticides and bisphenol A (BPA) from plastics. These include polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), and Dixons. An endocrine-disrupting substance a compound, either natural or synthetic which through environmental or inappropriate developmental exposures alters the hormonal and homeostatic systems that enable the organism to communicate with and respond to its environment where we cannot see it. Therefore, the effect can be at sexually dimorphic behaviors, reproduction and neurodevelopment. As conclusion, endocrine disruptors will release mimic a natural hormone and lock onto a receptor with in the cell.

Over the centuries, various types of chemicals have been developed by human for daily uses products. Some of the examples of products that contain chemicals are cosmetic products, detergents, pesticides, toys and many more. The most common chemicals that contain in these products are Bisphenol A, phathalates and PBDE, they are also known as endocrine disruptors. Endocrine disruotprs are chemicals known to interfere with development and reproduction, and they may cause serious neurological and immune system effects. Some of these chemicals are known as carcinogenic which means they can cause cancer. The over dependent or over usage of these products that contain such harmful chemicals can cause cancer in human body, the reproductive system will be affected and the developmental problems will occur. As mentioned in this video, some chemicals are harmless if the dosage is low, however, negative effects or harmful effect may occur with a combination of chemicals even if they are use at low dosage. The human can be exposed to endocrine distruptors in various ways, for example through touching, breathing and eating. In a nutshell, the use of endocrine disruptors are needed to be monitored and restricted by professionals. Harmless chemicals are needed to be discovered by the researchers to replace these endocrine disruptors as substitutes in all the related products.

BBC The Fantastical World of Hormones with Dr John Wass

Dr John Wass shared his amazing knowledge and interesting facts about hormones in this video. Hormones are regulated by the endocrine system in our human body. From the past centuries, there are a number of scientists did some research in the study of hormones. Hormones plays a great role in our human body. The slight change of the hormone can lead to obvious change in physical, chemical and biological change in human body. Some of the example of hormone mentioned in this video is laptin hormone. This is a hormone that control or affect the obesity in a human body. The more secretion of laptin hormone by the fats in human body, the person will be more obese. The over secretion of growth hormone by the pituitary gland due to growth of tumour can cause gigantism. Besides that, insulin is one of the hormone that control the sugar level of human body. The imbalance of the insulin supplied in human body can lead to diabetes. Hormones are very closely related to our human body however there are only hundreds of hormones been discovered. Dr John Wass believed that there are still more hormones to be discovered and this will bring great help in the medical field.

    THE GREAT INVASION ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS

This video explains the exposure of various chemicals to humans. Little do we know that the products we are using consists of various chemicals which can potentially affect our state of being. This is because chemicals leached out from products can disrupt the normal functioning of our body. Such chemicals are for example, Bisphenol-A, DDT, Paraben, Phthalates and PBDE which are also known as endocrine disruptors.

    BBC THE FANTASTICAL WORLD

This video describes the significance of hormones in our body which are fundamental in our normal functioning system. It is one of the essential factors in controlling our body and give different effects to our bodies based on the amount of hormones produced.

In my opinion, i think kids should have to take classes in school about these chemicals here and there in pre-school and even mandatory classes in college if they go to college. There are more people with disorders than the general public will ever know unless this gets exposed on a mass scale and at least acknowledged. A lot of people ESPECIALLY millennials have very extreme disorders and being lead threw out their lives thinking that nothing is wrong.

BBC The Fantasical World of Hormones

This documentary tells the wonderful and often weird story of how hormones were discovered. Presenter John Wass, one the country's leading experts on hormones, relates some amazing stories - how as recently as the 19th century boys were castrated to keep their pure soprano voice, how juices were extracted from testicles in the hope they would rejuvenate old men and how true medical heroes like Frederick Banting discovered a way to make insulin, thus saving the lives of countless diabetes sufferers. And hormones remain at the cutting edge of medicine as we try and deal with modern scourges like obesity.

In addition, this video highlighted the importance of being more careful and aware of using chemically made products. Endocrine disruptors which result from man made products are known to cause the occurrence of phalates syndrome in males. Furthermore, other known effects of endocrine disruptors are shown in the developmental stages of embryo when the disruptors successfully mimics as estrogen

BBC THE FANTASTICAL WORLD OF HORMONES

According to Dr. John Wass, hormones affect how we behave and feel and actually control everything in our body. This is indicated by the case of Farinelli whereby the Italian musical star shows body and appearance change due to castration before puberty in order to maintain the purity of his voice. This is just to show how hormones affect largely in proper functioning of our body.

These producsts act as hormone disruptors to interfere with the endocrine system of our bodies. Chemicals such as bisphenol-A (BPA), phathalates and PBDE are the examples of endocrine disruptors that occur in our daily life which can caused our human health. All of these chemicals can be found in plastic toys, sprays, household products such as detergents, electronics such as refrigerators and microwave. Some of these chemicals are carcinogen chemicals which can cause cancer to living things. Therefore, over-dependent or over-usage of these products can cause cancer or tumors in human body, the reproductive system will be affected and the developmental problems will occur.

From watching this video, this can concluded that hormones control everything in our body. Hormones are essential for every activity of life, including the processes of digestion, metabolism, growth, reproduction, and mood control. For example, a research about sex hormone in male brings effect from boy to man along his puberty and this question has totally influence with the changes and number of production of hormones. Moreover, insulin in our body controls sugar level and lack of insulin may lead to diabetes. Hormones are crucial parts in our body and important in better understanding of how our body works.

From the video, we know that even before the World War 2, the production of chemical products had been increasing annually. Scientists had been using petroleum to make new products like plastics, insecticide and cosmetics. Back in the older days, there was not much awareness the perilous of these products can be, especially the insecticide like DDT. Pretty much everything in the environment are contaminated. The most sensitive stage where chemical is highly found was during development. Furthermore, through these chemicals, endocrine disruptors were found in which they may cause health effects on human. Examples of endocrine disruptors include bisphenol-A (BPA), phathalates and PBDE. As recommendations, eat organically, be careful with plastic products, pregnant women should educate themselves about food and cosmetics.

BBC THE FANTASTIC WORLD OF HORMONES
From this video, we are joining the journey of Dr John Wass in better understanding of hormones history. Hormones are invisible components in the endocrine system and the most important in running and regulating our bodies. Throughout the history, many bizarre philosophies had been discovered about hormones. For example, the removal of testicles of a boy in order to maintain his soprano voice and testicles removal of certain species of chicken to make sure that its meat is tender. The most unbelievable idea was how a scientist believed that the injection of testosterone into our body system was the key to youth. The idea even spread throughout the whole world. There are a few of other hormones also being explained in this video like thyroid hormones, growth hormones and pituitary glands. Interestingly, pituitary gland is a small part which carried very important role which is to regulate the secretions of other hormones. The new hormone that had been discovered recently is leptin which function to control our weight by regulating our appetite. More than 80 hormones in human aline with vast different role and molecular structure. Each hormone only work with specific target cell to perform its specific task.

Environmental endocrine disrupters, also known as environmental hormones, endocrine-active compounds, endocrine disrupting compounds, the environmental endocrine disruptor refers to an exogenous material, the material will cause uninjured organisms to reverse health effects, or organism An endocrine disrupter of a progeny is a physical endocrine disrupter that may result in undamaged.
Endocrine disruptors are not only present in the external environment, but the family materials mentioned in the video also contain terrible endocrine disruptors. We need to read the contents of the articles carefully when we buy or renovate our homes. Common EEDs: detergent: nonyl phenol, octyl phenol, etc .; plastic plasticizers: phthalates and so on. These are very dangerous and can lead to malignant tumors.
As an environmental science student, we should publicize this potential threat, and we need to awaken people's attention to toxic substances in their daily lives.

Endocrine disruptors are structurally similar to human hormones (hormones) and can disrupt endocrine synthetic chemicals, they are all synthetic. Endocrine disruptors Enter the animal and human body after polluting the environment and through the food chain (diet) or contact and affect the reproductive system. Into the human body after the sequelae of the second generation and even the third generation.
Visible daily products such as benzene, phenol, chlorine all can be formed in the Earth all kinds of endocrine disruptors. We should stop using the related items in production

BBS THE FANTASTIC WORLD OF HORMONES with Dr Jones Wass

Professor John Wass tells us although the amount of hormones in our body is small, but it has a great impact on health. Lack or have too much will both cause too many diseases, such as: excessive secretion of growth hormone can cause gigantism, too little secretion will cause dwarfism. Only a small dose of hormones can change the cell metabolism. It can be said that hormones are a kind of chemical messenger from one cell to another.

  65. The fantastic world of hormon: after watching this video, i realise how important hormon or endocrine system to our body. Organ related to human body was kidney, brain, pancrease, thyroid and these part of body have a specific gland that release hormon with specific function. Many research had been done to understand this system and how it can affecting human development especially in sexualism and behaviourism. If one of the gland in this system disfunction well, human may undergoes abnormal. Few disease causes by hormon deficiency today such as gigantism, hypo or hyperthyroidism and diabetes melitus and scientific still try to understand, and perhaps in medical world, artificial homon can replace these hormon secretion from our body but still it will trigger another point of concern.

Chemical as endocrine disruptor was produce since industrial booming create a lot of chemical product to ease our live, to enhance quality of living. However, chemical was invisible and we dont know how much these chemical already accumulate in our body base of our daily practise. Chemical toxic already invaded to ur endocrine system and these chemical can block certain hormon action. We can not estimate how much we were expose to chemical in our daily live. Today, there were a lot of product that produce in chemically way. Cosmetic, medicine and even our attire... is example of chemical in our surrounding.
